Episode #39 features Chuck Feltner from the band The White Wolves all the way from Nashville Tennessee in the beautiful U.S.A! Today's technology is a blessing for reasons such as this where we can speak to each other via Zoom from opposite parts of the world...
Back on episode #26 I spoke with Todd Burman who is also from The White Wolves, now it's time to get the other side of the story from Chuck of the songwriting duo.
Chuck and I cover a range of topics and it was fascinating to hear more about Nashville and it's music scene. Go check out 'I won't be around' by The White Wolves it's a great tune. After our chat with Chuck, it sounds like much more great music is on the way.

I hope you enjoy this episode and please share it around if you do. Don't forget to come say HI! on all the Foxx on the Wire socials.

For Episode #38 I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Aussie Music Legend Mick Thomas of Weddings Parties Anything and Mick Thomas' Roving Commission. We sat in the freezing cold band room of the currently closed venue Merri Creek Tavern in Northcote on a chilly friday night which Mick helps to run. It's been closed for the past few months due to the Coronavirus much like many other venues, and it's sad to see a bar with no beer.
Although there hasn't been any gigs happening of late, Mick has of course kept himself busy as always. We talk about his new chain song called 'See you when I'm looking at you' and the upcoming album of the same name it features on to be released on June 19th. You can pre-order the album here on Mick's website.
Mick and the Roving Commission are live streaming an album launch on June 21st from the Memo Music Hall. Get your tix at memomusichall.com.au
Show time 8:30PM.
Mick & myself touched on a lot of topics during our one and a half hour chat, and I feel very thankful & grateful to be able to sit down and talk with someone like Mick Thomas. Thanks for your time Mick, thanks everyone for tuning to this episode of the Podcast.
As always, if you enjoy this episode please share it around. I also have a Foxx on the Wire Spotify Playlist of all the guests I've had on the show it's a great mix of tunes!
Until next time,

Ep #35 Little Richard - Tribute to THE King of Rock N' Roll
Friday May 15, 2020
Friday May 15, 2020
For Episode #35 I pay tribute to the one the only, Little Richard the man who helped define the early rock 'n' roll era of the 1950s with his driving flamboyant sound & look.
I was watching the movie Green Book over the past weekend which featured Little Richard on the soundtrack and who's name was dropped throughout the movie, the next morning I woke up and news came through Little Richard had passed away after his battle with bone cancer.
This is the first episode of Foxx on the Wire which does not feature a guest, I've been wanting to do more episodes where I just talk about music and artists specifically. Admittedly I didn't know much about Little Richard aside from the fact he was a huge influence on a lot of my favourite bands, so I thought this was a good opportunity to learn more about him whilst paying tribute to him at the same time.
I hope you enjoy this episode & it inspires you to delve into the life and career of Little Richard. Here is the YouTube link to Little Richard inducting Otis Redding into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't seen it! Thanks for listening, I'll be back again soon with another episode of Foxx on the Wire!

Ep #34 Michelangelo (hip hop, new single, producing, beats, social media)
Tuesday May 05, 2020
Tuesday May 05, 2020
Admittedly I was a bit nervous about this one. What am I going to talk to a hip hop artist about? I'm from a totally different genre. To my surprise and to the credit of these great things called the almighty "Podcast", my guest Michelangelo and I had a fascinating chat.
In what has been a rough start to 2020 for all of us, but Michelangelo has already released 2 new songs "Self" and "N2Ostalgia" with more to come. At the end of this episode we get an exclusive sneak peek and Michelangelo's yet to be released new single "More". Check out his tunes on Spotify
We covered a range of topics during our chat including self doubt and development, making beats, producing, navigating and building our social media accounts, hip hop, rap, spotify, song writing and much more.
I really enjoyed chatting with Michelangelo, it showed me two guys from different genres really can relate on many different levels. I was stoked to get him on the show, we hope you all enjoy our chat. Please share if you do!
Follow Michelangelo on Instagram.
Until the next episode take care and stay safe!

Bailey Slade is my special guest on Episode #33 of Foxx on the Wire! The main reason we caught up for a chat this week is because Bailey has put something really special together in this difficult time of no live music - he's organised an Instagram live stream of 18 different acts called Cabin Fever Fest!
Cabin Fever Fest takes place this coming Friday the 1st of May and kicks off at 1pm and runs all afternoon and into the night. Check out the Instagram page and listen to this episode for more details.
Bailey is also an extremely talented songwriter in his band Past Present who released their album 'The Beast and the Burden' in late 2018 available here on Bandcamp.
Thanks for coming on the show Bailey! Check out us on Friday night live on Instagram!

Ep #32 Michael Yule (part 1) - Talking COVID 19, Silverchair & much more
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
For episode #32 of Foxx on the Wire I chat with someone who has featured heavily in my career as Acoustic Foxx right from the first EP I recorded as Acoustic Foxx, Michael Yule.
I recorded my first EP 'Silence in Circles' with Michael at his studio in 2012, and would go on to record my debut album 'Guiding Light' with him in 2015. Of course we talk more about this during our chat, particularly in Part 2 of our chat (coming soon).
Part 1 naturally focuses more on whats going on now with COVID -19 and how it's upended our very way of life, especially in Michael's case being a full time musician.
Michael can do it all - he's a singer, songwriter, guitarist, loop artist, studio engineer, producer, gig booker, live sound tech you name it. We talk about all of it.
Unfortunately Skype was very "glitchy" during this episode so i thank you for your patience.
Check out Michael's website here http://WWW.MICHAELYULE.COM
Part 2 of our chat will be out soon, for now please enjoy part 1. Thanks to Michael for coming on the show...
See y'all again very soon.

Ep #31 features Melbourne based Musician Aaron Schembri. We chatted about the direct impacts Covid-19 has had on Aaron's career, and the broader impacts it's had on musicians in general and of course the community as a whole.
A few weeks ago when this virus first started to take effect on the community as a whole, events and gigs were being cancelled everywhere. Aaron decided to start a Spotify Playlist of amazing Aussie talent called the '2020 Australian Covid19 Playlist' to help out muso's and get their songs out there. Please check it out and give it a spin!
Aaron released his debut album 'City Light's' in Sept 2019 we talk about the making of that and some of the amazing guests he had feature on the album.
Big thanks to Aaron for coming on the Podcast great to have a chat, next time we'll do it in person. Please folks don't forget to support your musicians any way you can during this difficult time.
Take care and stay safe everyone.
